There has been so much news here in the US about the situation of Serbia and Kosovo - I hope all of you are safe and well and that there is a peaceful resolution to all of the issues involved. peace and justice for all, martin

You asked how things in the west are. Well, it seems that the entire world is interested in the U.S. election. Some have even suggested that, since everyone in the world is intimately affected by the result, then everyone in the world should be able to vote for the US president. But my favorite perspective is that of Slavoj Zizek, the Slovenian sociologist, philosopher, and cultural critic, who says that everyone should be able to vote for the American president - except for Americans - that the world would make a choice that would end the imperial ambitions of the present U.S. government. An interesting concept!
